Parliament honours the victims of the train accident in the south of Spain

Strasbourg

The European Parliament held a minute of silence to remember all the victims of the tragic accident in the south of Spain. On behalf of Parliament, President Metsola sent the deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

Yesterday, our grief was compounded when we learned of the tragic train collision in southern Spain, which has already claimed 39 lives and left many seriously injured.

Families are mourning. A nation is in shock. And all of Europe grieves with Spain.

On behalf of this Parliament, we send our deepest condolences and stand in solidarity with all those affected.

Toda Europa está con España en este momento de profundo dolor.

Together, we remember all those lost, and all those whose lives have been torn apart.

Please join me now in a moment of silence.
